Welcome to the Team, Mark Rooney

📢 We’re pleased to welcome Mark Rooney to August Consulting.

Mark joins us as a Procurement and Supply Chain Specialist, bringing over 15 years’ experience delivering high-impact procurement outcomes across the mining, education, and government sectors.

He has successfully led complex sourcing programs and managed end-to-end procurement functions for major organisations, with expertise spanning:

• Strategic sourcing and category management

• High-value procurement and contract negotiation 

• Supplier relationship management

• Governance and risk mitigation

• Procurement transformation and operational efficiency

Mark’s category experience is extensive and includes ICT (SaaS), infrastructure goods, professional services, PPE and consumables, and utilities.

Having held leadership roles with organisations such as Sourced Solutions, City of Gold Coast, Allconnex Water, ACC and New Zealand Police, Mark brings a depth of insight and a practical, outcomes-driven approach.
